Hi, I updated bios using Asus update in Winxp, but at the end of updating an error occurs "verifyng flash data error" (or something of kind). Then i tried to repeat but it's the same thing. When I rebooted the pc I had a black screen and a continuos beep. I tried hotswapping using uniflash (with -force switch) and mobo asus a7v266-e (award bios) and p4v8x-x (ami bios) but nothi happened, I had only error messages " boot block mismatch" "flash data error".
Can anyone help me?

Thanks

I use a pci vga card and the screen now appears so:

AWARD BOOTBLOCK BIOS 1.0

BIOS ROM CHECKSUM ERROR
KEYBOARD ERROR OR NO KEYBOARD PRESENTA

DETECTING FLOPPY DRIVE A MEDIA...

DRIVE A ERROR. SYTEM HALT

bipbipbipbipbipbipbipbip

I tried to boot from system floppy as I read in varous posts but I always have the above message.

Can you help me?

You must a DOS clean boot disk and create a autoexec.bat in order to run flasher with proper switchs.

I created a bootdisk using drdflash.exe, then copy on it awdflash.exe + p4bm.bin and edited autoexec.bat with switches, but nothing happened. I also tried using uniflash and awdblock from dos-freak, but I had the same result.

Can you flash back your original BIOS?

I'd taken a bios from another mobo p4b-m (with bios not socketed :( ) and I copied it on the boot floppy, but the error message is the same. I don't know why it says "keyboard error". Now I wanna try using a 720kb bootdisk. If somebody has an idea is welcome.
Thanks
