Built my first computer
BIOS SEES THE BOOTABLE CD ROM BUT DOES NOT LOAD ANY SOFTWARE!
using Ultra 320 Scsi on Channel B, Powered up and put the bootable cd from Supermicro in first also tryed windows os.
Hear CD spinning up and harddrive too, then looking at monitor there is Supermicro logo and under that is press delete to go to setup and press tab to display Bios Post
Messsage.
Waited 10 mintes nothing happen press delete and tab nothing happen it like it is frozen.
BIOS SEES THE BOOTABLE CD ROM BUT no loading of any software

It has been a while, but as I remember to make any SCSI device bootable requires the SCSI card BIOS set to be set as active
At some point very early in the boot up sequence you will normally get a prompt to press a function key (Fx) to enter SCSI BIOS setup (Adaptec or whatever) from where it can be set to be active
