win xp installation stock up

hi..somebody help me pls...I'll been encouter blue screen on my computer saying the error "0X000000D1 OR DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" its has something to do in my Memory and When I try to boot on "safe mode" the error was " D347bus.sys" since I cant get in to windows im try to reinstall the win xp but then its stock up after clicking "enter" to proceed in installation "chekcking hardrive or IDE ......" somebody help me pls whats wrong with my installation why it's stock up.

Machine specs?

Did you test your RAM with Memtest86 or Memtest86+ as AJZ suggests?

You have not mentioned your motherboard make and model

if your receiving IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error this could for a lot of reasons either mainly because of hardware and bios incompatability

open bios setup and disable/enable hardwares one by one during XP setup
then you will get a clear picture.
if it doesn't work then ...

Upgrade bios, and then finally memory stick.( but before you replace anything, run memtest 86+ & also check your MB)
