Hello all.
I have a mother board I just bought (a DFI CM33-TL REV B).. The onboard chipset (VIA), supports LBA48 and has used LBA48, Rev C of the board has a bios update so that the BIOS will understand LBA48. I've spoken to DFI and they say that my Rev B board is 'out of date and no one uses PIII's anymore)... Would it be possible to find what they changed in the Rev C bios update and create a patch/module for the Rev B bios so the bios can understand LBA48, since the chipset can? I ask that you please don't respond with "Go buy a newer board"..
thanks

Right. the 48 bit update is for the Rev C board, which I stated. I have a Rev B board, so I can't use that update, because other things on the Rev C board are different..
