Trying to get a 300Gb Maxtor HD (7L300R0) to work on a soltek 65c/65e motherboard.
It only detects 8gb of it and when trying to add it manually with the CHS settings, the bios hangs.

Limit your drive to 32GB by using a jumper - jumper settings for this should be printed on your HDD or be available at www.maxtor.com
The max HDD size natively supported by your Bios is 128GB although, even if patched to this size, it may hang,too, with this big HDD.
With drive limited to 32GB your boot partition must be within this size, all above will be accessible with W2K and newer OS.
