Are you cleared the CMOS?
More than 100,000 BIOS strings in my database just now!

Does the floppy light turn on at any time during the time you 1st turn it
on,, if so you could use the blind recovery method using the appropriate
commands in the autoexec.bat on a boot floppy.
If the floppy drive isn't active then pulling the chip & programming it is
what has to be done... :?

Reprogramming the chip, meaning removing the bios chip from the
board & flashing the correct update to it with an eprom programmer...
If the chip is soldered on though then you'll have to pay someone to
unsolder it flash it & resolder it on, or socket the board to take the chip.

I'd be phoning a few of the local computer repair stores if I were you &
asking if they have, or know someone with an eprom programmer...

i'm trying to flash, using hotflash method, with another mobo, chipset via694t,tried using aflash, error message, cant hook your bios!,later tried used awdflash, works, but cant find bin file.since i downloaded from asus ftp, the file similiar to 1003x.awd,so far i dont think so this is bin file. i need advise from members.why ext with awd? how to use it?
then, how to delete programs from bios chip (mine is syncmos),what imean is ,how to empty the contents of chip.

cappanie,
thanks for help
I often find when I get an error of either awdflash or amiflash
not being able to find the bin file it's because the bin/rom file
is write protected.
Right click the bin file & make sure it isn't.
If it is , then take the tick out of the box that says "Read only"
