I have updated from August 2003 Bios to latest BIOS ID:28
and when I changed all and tried to boot, it said operating system not found.
HDD is show in Bios Menu and set to AUTO.
If an USB external HDD is connected its boots from my IDE HDD!?
If it is not connected -> it says "operating system not found" ...
On the USB HDD there are only music mp3 Files nothing else no boot ...
I flashed back 10 bios versions each the same until BIOS ID:18 (Bios Issue Date:2003/10/30)
and with this bios version the PC is booting from my IDE HDD without having to connect a USB HDD ...
Do you have a clue why this happens?
The other thing is that it seems that if I connect a Firewire Digital Camera it is not recognized by the system not even with the new ID:28 (BIOS from Abit) ...
IEEE Controller Texas Instruments is display under Windows XP SP2.
I also have a 1394 Network Card under LAN displayed ....

as soon as i turn off the USB HDD it says again, "No operating system found" ... I also turned of SATA and USB didn't work ...
