Hey Edwin, would you please send me the 3.14 version?
I've been looking for it like crazy.
And I have another question, does this version allows you to modify the cpu's frequency?
Thanks
Version 3.14 for A8AE-LE
I recently purchased an esupport upgrade bios for this motherboard. It was in compatiable. Although I didn't have the phone support. E-mail didn't go well. I lost my original bios. I had the 3.14 on it from this thread. I can't seem to reinstall it with any flash utilities. I used the correct WinFlash. I tried 3.13 also. Even unpacking with WinRar the bios upgrade and removing 313.rom and using 314.bin with the HP Installer. Still no luck. I have reset my jumpers and removed the battery. What else can I do? I am sending it to factory when I have the funds to do so..soon..
I just installed an Opteron 185 in this motherboard and it works very well. My only dissappointment is in the PCMark05 score. It registers a 3984 which would place this CPU in about Athlon 3800+ range. I just pulled the Sempron 3500+ from this board. Is this a function of the motherboard. A couple other programs I tried showed this chip should be around an Athlon X2 4800+. The memory scored well in all the benchmarks, but the video card, an Nvidia GeForce 7300 does not. Could it be holding back the performance of the CPU?
ac3243,
Yes, I am using 3.14 BIOS with the Opteron. So far, the biggest difference with the 3.14 BIOS is that my hard drive doesn't go crazy and the CPU isn't running all the time. There are only a couple of tweaks, and they mainly reference fan speed. It doesn't permit an adjustments to the FSB.

After flashing with esupport software once I can't get the CD I made to boot again. Atleast not to the menu it should. Although the CD gives me a totally different screen asking for bypass f5 or trace f8. Nothing indicating why or for what. Which either one I press wont work(keyboard enabled). And the CD is the only one with options. The floppy is just award flash utility. Any suggestions?
