VT enabled on Acer Aspire Laptop

Hi there,

I hope you can help me with the following problem: I own a Acer Aspire 7720 laptop (big mistake I know now) and want to use the Intel VT option.
Sadly this option is missing from the BIOS settings and Acer is not going to add it.
Is it possible to hack the current BIOS and enable the VT option?
FYI: I'm not a BIOS hacking guru!

Do I need to buy a new (real) laptop or is it possible to customize the BIOS?

Some added info: It uses a Insyde bios version 1.25, model ICL50
