Trying to update Bios, What Motherboard??

I ran biosagent and it gave me this

Manufacturer: Gateway
Motherboard: GateWay M210 and 3500 Series

my laptop model is the Gateway 3040GZ

i'm trying to update my bios but have NO idea who makes the motherboard or where to download the updated bios... PLEASE help, i'm pulling my hair out on this one.

And without a specific reason like stability problems or others I wouldn't touch a laptop Bios. If the flash goes wrong then it may be expensive to get it working again.

the support site offered no bios update.

as far as i know my system is only using 8mb of shared memory and i wanna increase the amount to 64mb but my bios only allows up to 32

-> Specification lists only 32MB shared memory so more is not possible.
