SO I have a PICMG SBC full length ISA plus the extra with NO markings except made in TWan it has 2 slots for memory which are the same as 168 but with one locating key slot not two and the gold contacts occupy more of the PCB than standard are these 184 pin?
There was one stick in there no markings

the CPU socket is the small with the big heat sink, it is marked PGA4788 Is this a 478?

The bios chip is marked Phoenix D886 and 144815853

There are all the usual onboard PRN IDE 232 ... I think it might be Yusens but that is a hard website to find

Now I do not know what CPU to put in and test it, there are no jumpers near the socket is there a absolute for sure minimum spec CPU that would go in and light it up so I can read the bios and start the search

As ever thanks to the clever people in here and I hope that SBCs are ok in this part of the forum.

sort of describes what you have there, a socket478 board with DDR memory slots.

I'd say any 400MHz FSB pentium4 should be recognized by the cards bios if the card is still alive that is.
