thanks for the link, but i need the rom-file, because the system is in a loop ... POST came up and then the system restarts in an endless loop.
no chance to start any operating system.

i hope it will work again, when i flash the system with the flasher (which is integrated in the bios) and an ROM-file.
it's an AMI, so i can start the flasher with CTRL and the Home-key while powering on.
i found no way to extract the rom from the winflash package...

if the POST comes up you can go into setup as well, reset everything to default, save and exit. thanking me for the link means you obtained that bios upgrade elsewhere, there's no saying what was inside, the actual bios upgrade or malware. always get your bios upgrades from the manufacturer website.

I'll try and see if the ROM can be extracted but no warranties whatsoever....

it show the POST messages but i can't go into the bios setup, it doesn't work.
the bios update was from the manufacturer, it was the one, that you posted in your message before.

i found an older bios and i t works now again with this one.

many thanks for your help !

I see, so you were able somehow to start the winflash bios update and flash back the older one. Thanks for reporting. Please send in an error report to HP so they can fix their update, it may prevent others from having the same problem.
