i've failed to find q2 manufacturer!!! any other information would be greatly appreciated.

v. interesting - is there a message in the top left under the Award logo at the same time you see the BIOS ID ? If so, please tell us what it is.

QDI usually has Q1 as manufacturer-ID .
It's new that they use Q2 .
