SONY-Phoenix failed. The laptop is DEAD!!!!!! HELP!!!!

I have GRX560

After the BIOS update the laptop rebooted. The screen is blank, the HD and CD checks ( they spin for a few sec). The floppy (USB) is not detected. NO MESSAGES OR BEEPS.

It is just DEAD.

Tried to boot form CD, did not work.

I did not see any errors while the update. Sony claims that the problem is caused by me and is not covered by the warranty.

Is there any way to recover??????

Seems like you're out of luck with this. I don't know of any way to recover the BIOS in this model.

Sony don't supply the BIOS file as a single file.. they compile it into a .exe for a fully automated installation.

I just priced a replacement systemboard and it's $550.00
