Hello,

I have a 40 GB IBM and a 120 GB maxtor.
Both HDD can not be reconized by the bios.

Program: Unicore BIOS Wizard Version 1.5
Program: Unicore Chip Detect v0.72 2000.03.10
BIOS Date: 10/20/98
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 10/20/1998-i440BX-W977-2A69KM4GC-00
BIOS Eval: W6156ZXF1 V1.0 022299
Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 3
Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h

I don't know if the update runs on DOS or Windows.
So I need some information how to upgrade my bios.

I tried to find an update but never suceeded.
Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Vijay

Thank you Denniss but I still can't see my harddrive.
I have set the hardrive in "cable select" jumper configuration and when I start "fdisk" the program see only 19 GB. My harddrive has a capacity of 120 GB.

Here is my bios update info:
Program: Unicore BIOS Agent Version 1.8
BIOS Date: 07/27/00
BIOS Type: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG
BIOS ID: 07/27/2000-i440ZX-W977-2A69KM4GC
BIOS Eval: W6156ZXMS V1.6 100900
Chipset: Intel 440BX/ZX rev 3
Superio: Winbond 977TF rev 0 found at port 3F0h

Please help me. What do I wrong??

With kind regards,

Vijay

Strange.... our utility displays "BIOS already supports HDDs over 32GB & 64GB"

Are you using Autodetect or are you setting the HDD parameters manually?

Do you have the right cables to use cable select ? Try setting master/slave instead.

What OS ? If W98, look at Microsoft: FDISK limitations on drives >64Gb.
Tested patched BIOSes. Untested patched BIOSes.
