hello !

janpopan gave me the patched bios. - thank you at this point :)
after installing it, i am unable to use the "standard cmos setup"-menu in my bios setup.

the lower half of the screen appears in a kind of magenta and no further input is possible. - time for a reboot :(

do you know anything about this problem ?

thanx

I'm afraid not. When I go into "Standard CMOS setup" it all looks fine. Did you clear CMOS after flashing ? If this does not help, try this:
download modbin.exe (find on the web somewhere)
run it in DOS or a DOS window
load the new BIOS file
press "F2"
select "Standard CMOS setup"
Does it look OK ?

No! Nicks the Standard Setup does not work!

I try to patch by hand 8)

The drive is detected properly, modbin works but the Setup does not.

Any Ideas?

Did the latest BIOS enter Standard CMOS setup OK before it was patched ?
