I have an asus CUV4x motherboard, and a Pinnacle Studio Deluxe that doesn't work with ACPI. I disabilitate ACPI in win2000 and tryed to do the same thing in BIOS... but there's nothing about ACPI disabilitation in BIOS!! I uploaded from official asus site the latest version, but nothing, i can't see the Enable/disable ACPI functions... i'm disperated! Can anyone help me? thanks...

You can't disable ACPI on most newer boards.

What exactly is the problem?

Many high end audio cards for professional use do not work correctly if they have to share an IRQ with another device via ACPI. They will produce audio anomalies, pops, clicks, static, background noise.

Seems strange that it would matter, since, after all, only one interrupt can be serviced at a time.

Anyhow, like AJZ said, force a Standard PC install under Win2000.
