I have this comp i trying to upgrade for my aunt. It has 128mb of ram and the max is 512mb. Anyway, I looked in the comp and the 128mb of ram is pc133. So I told her to buy 2 X 256mb of pc133 kingston ram. So she did and i have the computer at my house to add it. But when adding both sticks of ram i get these series of beeps 1-3-3-1. Also if i try 1 X 256mb i get the same beeps. But if i try a 128mb orig and a 1 X 256mb the comp only sees the 128mb and not the 256mb. Is there anyway this comp can be fixed or change to handle the ram i told her to buy without buying any more ram?

Thanks,

You may have run into a chipset limitation, you may have incompatible memory. Usually not enough memory chips on these sticks to be adressible by your computer mainboard chipset.

Kingston may have a memory locator for your computer/notebook or have a look at the emachines website.
