This ram came in the computer but I would like to install the maximum ram possible probably 128mb's .
Can someone tell me where to find information about this memory .
NJS A180 NJS290797 72pin
there are 2 of these making up 16mb's
here are the 2 different lots of numbers on the sticks , they are both 2 sided with 16 chips on each stick
8144050-60 9717 D552
8144050-60 9720 D042 some of these part numbers etc are on the sticks and some are on the labels
I know it is all EDO ram , I want to know if it is buffered/unbuffered to find compatible memory for PH50705C computer .
thankyou for reading
I searched but did not find anything yet

What markings are on the chips themselves?

I have the computer formatting the hd right now so from notes are what I remember is written on the chips .
_
_F 814405D-60
.... the F is between the 2 _'s and the D could be a 0 .
I'll check on the rest of the numbers tomorrow .

Just from this, your modules are most likely 8MB, 60nS EDO.

14 = 4 Megabit chip
40 = 1Meg x 4
5 = EDO

16 chips x 4Mb (ea) / 8 bits per Byte = 8MB module (x2 modules = 16MB Total RAM...as you mentioned in your first post).

SiS-5511B/5512/5513 can take FPM or EDO (2-way Interleave Single SIMM), 16Mb Technology, 4 Rows, 512MB Max, Parity, per http://users.erols.com/chare/chipsets.htm .

*NOTE* - 512MB seems wrong, since no RAM was made this big...I think 128MB would be the MAX you could install, especially with 16Mb Technology SIMMS (8x32).
