RAM not recognized, cause lack of SPD Rom?

Is your memory not fully recognized? (Intel VX chipset Memory recognition)

I have 2 different 64MB SDRAM PC66 (Siemens, Hyundai) modules with same Chipconfiguration (16 Chips on both sides!).
The only thing is that there is no SPD Rom on the Hyundai module.

My Intel 430VX Board can't recognise this module :(
But the other one from siemens works great.

Is there a solution to get to work this module?
It's not defect, I've tested it with a different board.

Sounds like some sort of compatibility issue.

I have come across in the past where a particular brand of memory would not work with a particular main board (in this case it was actually a BIOS upgrade that locked out support to certain memory).

Hyundai is generally fairly good quality memory but still specific boards may not allow it. Or the internal organisation of the modules on the memory stick or maybe you are just pushing the limits in getting a 64MB module to work on a VX chipset mainboard.

It also helps to have identical modules if wanting to use more than one module at a time on the same board. If you can get both modules working on their own but not together, that board may not like mixing those modules.
