It'S no good, I'll prolly have to make the BIOS chip re-programmed by a technician. Same thing, it boots , does the memory test and hang up at : Award plug and Play BIOS Extension V.10A CDROM drive spins and stop after, like 10 sec. I thought about it but there is no jumper and on page 15, they tell to short the solder points, I will try with a screwdriver. I tried this trick @ http://www.hardwaresite.net/faqbios.html by removing the non-working bios chip and trying to flash it with another working puter but it didn't work cuz ...

I would like to install a 40gb on my PII 266mhz and the BIOS doesn't allow it.

You've seen this prob a thousand times and I got it too. Ive just bought a brand new 80gigs Seagate Barracuda 7200 HD (model ST380011A) My BIOS can't detect (hangs at startup).
