Hi Second post so be gentle with me I have a 333MHz PII 390E, a 400MHz PII 390X and a 450MHz PIII Dell Inspiron 7500. Flashing a Thinkpad with a dead battery
The simplest way to flash a Thinkpad that has a dead battery (this applies to 390E & 390X for sure) is to press and hold the NumLk/ScrLk key at each prompt where you are invited to press 1 by the BIOS update program.
