I've tested it with the cache enabled and an 83MHz FSB and it fails memtest86+. Sometimes it just locks up altogether.

I've not compared with and without the cache enabled on a 75MHz FSB. Do you need that info?

OK, Jan Stunebrink came to my rescue ... the A5 BIOS is now patched for K6 mobile "plus" chips and larger hard disks, and it works. I've also found I can run the FSB at 83MHz (JP2:2-3, JP3:1-2, JP4:2-3). This overclocks the PCI & IDE which works OK for my cards/disks (i430TX requires PCICLK=CPUCLK/2...
