Right here we go again.
Still cant get the 800mhz processor to work, but the 500 and 700 mhz will.
This is getting stupid :wacko:
AMD-K7500MTR51B will work
AMD-K7700MTR51B will work
AMD-K7800MPR52B will not work
AMD A0800MPR24B will not work
Latest bios as well

Ok, partial success. Entered the bios and disabled the "exterenal cache" (due to the on die of the thunderbird) Booted up, and WOW windows xp loaded. It started to go through its start up (anti virus, printer etc), then switches itself off and resets. This process just carries on and on. Does this h...

denniss, When you start the PC the processor is recognised as an AMD 800mhz, then does the memory test, then black screen and message about the missing or corrupt file. My gut feeling is compatability. Does anyone know the difference between the K7 prefix and the A0? From the microstar site my board...

KURIAKI, Installed the processor, but windows xp wont start up.
