Denniss, Clearing the CMOS, and then loading "optimized defaults" did the trick. Despite using the retail-version BIOS on an OEM board, everything seems to be working normally, including warm restart. The computer has not yet frozen up, so I might have fixed that problem too. Thanks for your help, Denniss. The computer was from Tiny. I doubt I'll be able to find exactly the right BIOS update, as the company no longer exists. However, if the retail BIOS fixes the instability, then failure to restart willl be a small price to pay. I'll try manually clearing the CMOS, as yo...
