Im trying to save a socket 462 board for a friend. He tried to install a ddr2 into a ddr 1 slot. tried with lots of psu 400W-550W and no go... thought was over heated chipset heat sink because it booted at 0500 this mornig (had not had any sleep trying to make this work) but looked up shortly after and back to the same old stuuf don't get it why would it boot and then not work after that GRRRRR...

already did that..,.. and no sucsess i think it was shock to the area just west of the N chipset because there is a darkend spot i hate intel CS just for the record......

the reason this board died was a flash gone wrong with 3.14. so when i tried to fix it with 3.13 it wouldn't wright over the two sectors that had the 3.14 on it because it was newer. so i flashed 3.14 and it worked........ but some info on my new post would be helpful

intel d94gz series P4 3.2 GHZ 2mb cache 1gb ddr2 667 when i boot the board the fans boot, the optical boots, the hdd boots. But there is no i\o, none, no video, no ps2, no usb. But i dont get a no signal on the screen, and no beeps. I have sent the board to intel and they sent it back said it worked...

only get one error doing it in without boot block

.................discharged residual energy still same result....
.....................tried different rom still same result.................

flashing bios on a dead a8ae-le asus board with the above mentioned chip using uniflash i get a error during verification on the 2 of the latter sectors. could the resemble corruption of the chip? of a write protection?is there another flash tool that will flast a pm49fl004? any sugestion...

having a similar problem with a asus oem board very frustrating

any sugestions if your in boot block and it wont boot from a disket or a disk?

wash flashing 3.14 into chipset bflash encountered error will not bios messed up wont recognize my usb floppy any ideas?
