The fact that you are getting that message means BIOS is installed. BIOS initializes, CPU, memory and video. Without those things, you will not be getting any messages on the screen. Try this trick. Unplug all your IDE cables from all other drives except your CDROM. Then power the system on and enter BIOS setup. Check there to make sure it shows up. If BIOS doesn't show it, then nothing (any other software) will see it. Also make sure your jumper settings are correct. Primary ID...
