Just a quick follow up. I can start the laptop from a dos bootdisc, and then start the dos version of speedstep. I can then check the CPU with another dos utility, "CHKCPU". It does identify the CPU and shows it to be running at 650mhz. At this point, I can also run other dos programs from a dos dis...

Oh well, I have tried to read this thread a couple times, it is allot to absorb. One of the things that was not sinking in until now, is that the FSB Mod is for the TP motherboard, not for the CPU.
