EFI BIOS support AHCI natively for external card ?

I heard that current EFI BIOS support AHCI natively, where natively means: EFI BIOS does not invoke the Option ROM on external card(there is ACHI controller on it) and can identify/configure this card itself then user can choose it as the boot device .... You might can plug external PCI/AGP/PCIe card into motherboard to make system boot with that display card ! Generally BIOS will scan external display card first and then scan integrated card later...That is, BIOS decides the scanning sequence ! BUT...if BIOS's code to scan display card is fixed (Ex....

For notebook the CPU core frequency varis with different loading. Do you try the case in which "CPU loading is maximum" ? At that time the CPU core frequency "should be" at 133MHz*13 = 1.73GHz Of course you can use "SpeedStep tools" to check if the multiplier can be changed... As for modifying ACPI ...

I don't think we can see/use extended/hidden settings within BIOS because you have binary file !

That is, before MP the BIOS settings/options are fixed(except setup menu) and thus user can not see/use some options if BIOS programmer hides them.
