When I saved the bios with the utility, its name was fxm110. I logically thought and realized that in fact my motherboard has another model, then says CPU-Z.
I downloaded a BIOS for ECS 661FX-M. It's 256 kb and succesfully updated.
After installing newer driver I have 1440*900 res ...

Modifying motherboard BIOS to recognize pci sata card
I bought a cheap pci sata card off ebay that has the via vt6421a chipset and I'm guessing it is unbootable as the card is not recognized on bootup. I have tried installing Windows many times on this card but it never works. I have read up on this and found that these cheap cards usually do not have ...

Strange. With mine, it's not a jpeg. It's actually three different images packed into one file, I've come to find out. In a hex editor, you can see the separate headers in the file, and there appears to be a footer at the end as well. The three images are slightly different, and one looks like it ...

On my Asus P6T Deluxe, module ID 1A is the AMI Bios logo. It's named "Small Logo(s)" and the file is a raw image format with a header.
The file is 9890 bytes long. You can load it into Photoshop CS4 as a raw image (earlier versions should work too), and account for an 86 byte header, with a width ...

This is probably too late now, but I've had a similar problem and was able to solve it successfully, so I thought I'd share - it might help someone else who will stumble across this thread. I have an AHA-2940UW adapter (there's a Dell sticker on it, but no "S" at the end of the BIOS, so I'm not 100 ...
