This worked great! A couple of points to help others. I went to www.bootdisk.com to make a boot disk so that I could do the BIOS update. They have all the boot disks for various OSes. I require a BIOS update to recognize my new 80 GB hard-drive.
Can anyone help me find a bios update for i440x-2A69KD1KC. I'd greatly appreciate it.
