Try an older version of awardflash, or uniflash. Worked for me!

NickS: how about the 6119/6147 confusion? When I check the bios string for the 6147 it says 2A69KM4EC iso 2A69KM4 A C just wondering... They're quite different boards: no. of slots, on-board graphics and sound on 6147. Damn, I just closed the two windows where I was comparing them. Have you checked...

I'd say it can't hurt to try. Please make sure it's a 6147 board though; when I look here it says Microstar MS-6119-HW behind the exact same bios ID?

By the way: I just checked and found that the current bios can handle drives up to 32GB. If you can't find a more recent bios, would it be possible to patch this one?

Have you tried on http://www.msi-computer.de - they also have biosses for older mainboards

I'm pretty sure I will need an update for this BIOS to get a 60GB to work, but sofar have been unable to find almost anything.
