Thanks, Rainbow.
No luck, that is the answer I was expecting.

M575 and ACPI ?
Hello,
The motherboard specifications of M575 motherboard
http://www.pcchips.com.tw/M575.html
specify that ACPI is supported, but I don't see anything in BIOS 02/04/99 S confirming this statement for M575.
Can anybody tell me about that ?
Cheers, X.

Well Deniss, I tried that but nothing new. My linux install stills stops at my 120GB partition check! For purpose, the default settings for the 120GB in bios are C/H/S = 16383/16/63 that is 8.4GB (found and confirmed by seagate support), while the number of sectors is 234 141 648!! I tried my settin...

Well, Rainbow I've just tried manually settings, and could raise the size until, 65GB for my 120Gb. Indeed, I couldn't get higher than 65535 for Cylinders. Well it's twice better, so as I have read during a linux install (failed because I think of bios, but reading my 120GB with the C/H/S configurat...

Hello, I've just received from a friend a M575 with amibios "020499s.rom" file on it. It doesn't recognize >32GB, and I didn't read very good news on the forum, see "60GB: 51-0201-001437-00111111-071595-M1531/43-001-10--H" about this problem. Is there a chance to find >32GB limitation amibios files ...

Edwin, I think I use windows 98SE fdisk version, since I boot in dos by using the F8 trick. In other words, I don't use a boot floppy disk. And I have just made a test, by flashing my dos with 86a123s.bin flash bios file (that is the Amptron version, that supports <32GB HDD). The "32GB limit clip ju...

Well KachiWachi, you're wright, it is the same M537 the V3.1, and what you tell comfort me. That would mean the Amptron, that supports from now on <32GB Hds (and thus include the int13h extensions), could be patched to support the K6-2, and and also the 128GB limit. Thank you Rainbow, for your help....

Nick, What kind of "macro" assembler should I use ? I tried Sourcer but I didn't succeed (see my brief experience with it below). However Sourcer is not a"macro" assembler. Am I wright ? Otherwise I have flash bioses files that include int13h extensions. I verified it with extbios tool (from Jan) an...

Oups, Sorry for the wait ! Well, what do you mean exactly by "reprogram parts of the Bios" ? Does "source code" mean the "original.tmp" and "bios.rom" obtained with modbin.exe ? Well I don't know much about this, so forgive my innoncence :? . Is there a method to tweak the bios ? Where can I ...

modify bios so that it supports int13 extensions
Hello,
I have a bios that does not seem to support bios int13 extensions .
I have seen topics concerning the 32GB and 64GB limit, but I never
found samples of modifications to break the 8.4GB limit.
Does anyone know
Bye, X.
