Hi! Yes, after loading/checking the manual for this mobo from the page -> http://download.aopen.com.tw/downloads/default.asp?Software=All&searchoption=keyword&sel=category&selpage=&seltype=Manual&keyword=AP5C/P&Language=English (the last item on that page) I noticed your mobo is really a dream for a...

Hi! I think the flash enable jumper do have it's own function. That jumper is another one on the mobo, if existing at all, and do generally disable/enable the flash voltage on the mobo. The dual voltage jumper, if existing at all, do give the selected voltage to the flash pin, and may also be functi...

Hi! Yes, Ritchie has right, the boot block may be searching for and accepting only an awdflash.exe, and that's why the dos-freak's code/procedure is for, i.e. to "cheat" the boot block and get it booting up MS-DOS instead of rightaway jumping to the flashing. But, do the boot block accept uniflash.e...

Hi! Glad to hear, you anyway had an "ant's step" forward ... If not yet tried, please try the procedure with no parameters after the uniflash.exe on autoexec.bat, if succeeding, it will lead you to a manual execution of UniFlash. But, probably you need some more hints to solve the problem. Please, c...

Hi! Is your mobo/BIOS problem still actual? Sure there is some "recovery" procedures/options for these type of cases. But please, first give some more details about your mobo, BIOS chip/code etc., what exactly happens on the re-boot trials, what have been your actions so far etc. Best regards, Pete V.

Hi! Is your Award Boot Block flash problem still actual? The dos-freak's procedure may be the best and right solution for you. But, if it doesn't work, could there be some small mistake on the commands/parameters ... Anyway, if nothing else helps, why not to try a simple "UniFlash". Best regards, Pe...

Hi! Your mobo seems to be an AT/Socket 7(5?) mobo equipped with - level PI Intel P54C 90 MHz processor and 64 MB memory - a 128 kB BIOS chip (prob. on a replaceable DIP32 socket) - an AMI BIOS code dated 10/10/94 - an Intel Triton i430FX chipset - a SMC FDC37C665GT MultiI/O chip - etc. The mobo manu...

BIOS chip detect 12V, flash 5V
Hi! This issue may interest someone, deep in BIOS flashing ... During my dead mobo investigations I faced one strange issue on BIOS flashing, namely two same brand/type BIOS chips couldn't be re-flashed and seemed to be having bad blocks. But, after changing the flash voltage on the mobo, the chip w...

Hi! OK, let's still check the details for the procedure. Boot diskette made with e.g. on Win98 will include command.com io.sys (hidden, can be made visible on folder options) msdos.sys ( -"- ) drvspace.bin (not needed, can be deleted) For flashing you should add to the diskette xxxxxxxx.exe (the fla...

Hi! Just to check your status with some details: - which BIOS chip type and socket do you have on the mobo, soldered or replaceable? - which version of awdflash.exe did you use, and from where did you get it? - did you have just one video card PCI or ISA (AGP maybe too demanding) installed on the mo...

Hi! Things seem quite OK, but if it doesn't work, there must still be some deficit on the procedure/data, or maybe some bad block on the BIOS chip, which will cause an abnormal ending ... Maybe best still to try to get some advice for the penxxx usage from the AOpen support. As for my understanding,...
