I *suppose* you could put the adapters together...but you would have to MAKE SURE that the continuity pin-to-pin works out correctly... I just did :D. Not exactly the way I'd initially planned on, though- I was working on something else and found the tail end (female) of a keyboard/mouse extension ...

So in essence you want to use a COM port mouse on USB...correct? No, not quite (I was afraid my description wouldn't be too clear, as I'm not a native to English). I want to be able to hook up any kind of USB device -within reasonable limits- such as flash drives and web-cams. It's one of those 'ro...

I couldn't find the 'Stupid Questions' forum so I thought I'd post here :D Now seriously, I'm trying to hack together the following: <USB device> --> USB-to-PS2 mouse port adapt[e/o]r --> old PS2-to-serial adapt[e/o]r --> old serial-port bit (the ones with the L-bracket and 9-pin block ...

What does this mean, that the program file's part number doesn't match with my system?!?! Some manufacturers changed the body of the BIOS ID string with the version, which was not what Award expected them to do - they should have changed the 2 characters at the end of the ID string and the date at ...

Final update: couple hours later and this works just fine. The 40 GB are accounted for, I've been able to partition the drive and Ghost back the images for my system and data volumes back into the new drive, and (gasp) Windows started up just fine - it only asked to reboot once because of 'hardware ...

Hi everyone - first post here. I'm having the exact same problem dpopovi2 details above, with the exact same BIOS and drive. I'm glad to know there's some kind of patch or fix for it, but unfortunately this link below http://sj.dfi.com.tw/Download/Beta%20Site/BIOS/BK6BA0115.ZIP ..doesn't work any lo...
