Strange...

After a successful setup of windows xp I began installing the software. I tried Adobe Acrobat Reader 6. When I clicked on setup.exe, the Installer was displayed. After that, setup proceeded with copying files and then the machine crashed. The whole machine was hanging and did not respond to anything ...

It seems to work!

Hello there!

Unbelievable! It really seems to work. I flashed the BIOS chip using uniflash. Booting was no problem, harddisk was recognized (drive recognition was set to "auto" on all ide channels).

So I started setting up windows xp. Tomorrow I will run some checks and give some more infos ...

Problems @ Patching the BIOS

Hey Nicks,

I tried to patch the BIOS of my AZZA board. But I have a problem:

They say (on www.azzaboard.com) that people should use the AWDFLASH Utility to patch the BIOS. So got a copy of it from somewhere on the net. Azza Board has no such utility on their site (?).

I could backup the old bios ...

Problem with 80 GB Maxtor Harddisk

Hello there!

ID string: 08/03/1998-i440BX-W977TF-2A69KP89C-00

I have the same problem as above, but my disk has a size of 80gb. I have the same bios release. Is it possible to patch that thing for enabling harddisks > 64GB?

I didn't try the >32gb patch.
