Tools & Utilities NEEDED - Insyde Mobile Pro BIOS

I'm in real need of some various tools for decompressing and repacking Mobile Pro BIOSes.

Information and support on this issue seems sparse at the moment.

Lenovo C100 - BIOS Mini PCI Whitelist - Help requested.

Just throwing this out to the masses for some asssistance. The Lenovo C100 officially only supports 2 WiFi cards in the Mini PCI bay, one is Broadcom based, the other, Intel Pro 2200. I really need to get an Atheros card under the bonet for maximum cross platform compatbility (Linux, XP and OSx86). ...

Katch, how stable is your pad? Sharedoc said his 750 was unstable at @ 810 mhz. Not stable at 810, but it's purely a heat dissipation problem coz I stuck some adhoc water cooling on it and it ran fine cooled to >60 degrees C Stable at 750 with the 108 Mod removed. I've moved on to a T20 now so I'm ...

Katch, >However my 750 when speedstep modded and 108 fsb modded will boot at >x7.5 on AC, even with the battery completely removed. Really? Interesting. What operating system are you running? What is the percentage of SpeedStep success with AC on? Windows XP - From cold not often, from hot (and she...

Dr Morg, Sorry but your English is sometimes difficult to understand. Unfortunately the SpeedStep mod seems to work only when booting with battery (at the later stages of the boot). The reason is unknown but I wellcome any effort to solve it. Whatabout if we mod the AC power unit to give signal tha...

Update.

Ok, Pad is actiing odd after dropping the VCore .20 by removing R5. Doesn't ever select the higher multiplier and has various crashes hangs and blues.

Gonna put the resistor back and try a .10 V drop. I'm also going to have a serious think about cooling sollutions.

OK, my 750 is unstable at 108FSB at the moment. Blue screens out of Prime95 and other high load tests. When I have more time I'm going to drop the Vcore, try and improve the cooling a bit and see what happens.

Dr Morg, You need to go back to the start of all this. Everyone here who has given their educated opinion, based on the few facts available, have advised it is entirely likely that the systemboard has a hardware fault. Replace the board or check the integrity of every circuit, controller and compone...

I just finished my 750 Mod and testing stability at the moment. It seems to be ok but I have noticed my memory bandwidth has actually dropped slightly from the Cel 600...?

Its strange the way it doesn't always select the 7.5 multiplier. Seems to resume from a hibernate intact though.

Put the code into notepad and save it as a setup.bat onto the cd that you boot from in the ps2.exe directory. Disable everything (you may need to add devices to my list) Then set up the devices address and ports to your preference (You may find it handy to add REM lines telling you what you are sett...

TP600s use extensive interrupt sharing. It is only an issue when using Linux not Windows XP.

If you want to disable stuff you don't need and reassign IRQs etc get the DOS configuration utility from the IBM downloads section for the TP600.
