Does anyone else get misreported processor speeds by windows? I transplanted PIII 750 awhile ago in my 600e. Windows reports it as 167 mhz, but mobometer reports it correctly as 600mhz.

Has anyone here managed to overclock their TP with a PIII 850 yet?

Katch, how stable is your pad? Sharedoc said his 750 was unstable at @ 810 mhz.

Would it be possible to increase the voltage to the cpu fan to help cool things down? My TP is a PIII 750 also and I would like to overclock it as well.

Has anyone had any luck overclocking a P3 800 or 850? Seems everyones got a 700 or lower. I know Sharedoc overclocked a 750 but his was unstable. I have yet to attept it on my 750 just cuz of that.

I tried the speedstep software from Intel but no dice. Said my P3's maximum speed was 600 mhz though its a 750(un-modded). It did detect it as speedstep compatable though.

congrats on your conquest. How stable is your rig with both the overclock nd a lowered v-core?

Nope the PIII's multipliers are locked.

Ebay for the processor(any P3 650 mhz and slower can be had cheap.)
Shop around for the ram(see prvous posts to get the right kind)

I upgraded my TP600e to a P3 750 (no speedstep mod) I am having trouble getting the L2 cache to enable. I tried powerleps cpu conrol panal that another user suggested but it wont even install. Any other suggestions?

Or another question how stable is the turbo circuit running at 118.5mhz?

Correct me if I am wrong but if 118.5mhz was stable with P3 850 (if you could find one!) wouldnt that net you a near mythical 1007 mhz?

Has anyone had any success overclocking the original pII from the 600e?
