I don't know what he really doing, he just say me that he entered hexaeditor with ctrl+d in the bios setup and replace a 62 value by ff (I think he done something like that : http://matt.ucc.asn.au/thinkpad.html and it's like you say)
unfortunately, I can't enter the bios ...

I'm not clear in my precedent post. I say in order.

- The precedent owner had an 8611 error.
- he modified the bios with an hexadecimal editor and do it badly.
- he sell me the thinkpad.

- I can't access bios setup and do the correction.
- the TP run very slowly (about 400 minutes (6-7 hours)for ...
