I've found the solution... I bought some more memory this time x64 type stuff and it works fine. I only bought another 128Mb which isn't a lot but I've spent enough on this especially as my dad never uses his PC! He just wanted a nice clean working install and he finally has it :) Thanks guys, Fairy

Hmmm the working 32Mb Modules are 4Mx64 and the non working 128Mb module is 128Mx4 ....could this be the problem?

HEEEELLLPPP!! I'm trying to make my dads PC a better machine so I decided to format the HDD and install a fresh OS and firewall, AV etc. Well then I discovered that he only had 32Mb in it. So I bought some PC100 installed it and ehm the BIOS sees it but windows doesn't soooo.... I gave up on Win 2k ...

As Joopy knows from the MSI forum I have the same problem. I decided to bite the bullet and see what happened after the reboot. I am now bootblocked. Question: If I reset the CMOS is there a chance I will loose the bootblock option? I don't want to chance loosing what seams like a last chance for me...
