The CPU and the mobo should be ok, because I have tested the CPU on another mobo and it worked and the mobo is ok too, because if I have a hdd drive connected the HDD led blinks.......

All the things on the board are jumped correctly, because I took it out of another computer, which I had tested before... and it worked

I have now connected the front panel cables....

turboLed, ResetSW, HDDLED and PowerLED work correctly

I haven't connected the ...

I don't know, what I did wrong.
I have finally tried it with Ram the power cables and the processor...
But it doesn't work.

The mobo isn't dead, because I had it in another computer and it worked, booted and was o.k.

Can I set my HDD to UDMA 100???

I don't know,because my Motherboard has DMA33.

I have updated my BIOS, know it supports my drive.

But can I set the transfer rate to UDMA100, when my motherboard only supports DMA33.

You should know your BIOS id and the Motherboard manufacturer, date and id.
Then you can search for the right BIOS. You have got the Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG, thus
you should use the Award flasher ulity.

Have you used the right BIOS version?
When you are detecting the HDD in the BIOS (auto detect for the hdd) is it hanging, when
it is scanning the IDE device.
Have you put the ide cabel correctly into the motherboard and into the drive.
Have you tried to use a dynamic drive overlay software, like ...
