All of a sudden the screen of my 600E upgraded to P3 700 mhz became bright white. I can barely see the actual content of the screen now.

I've tried to connect an external vga monitor and it works. What happened? How can I fix this problem? Help please! Thanks Alfred

Sluffcard, it would not be that difficult to find out if you read the first three or four pages of this thread like I did. Anyway, just to be even more clear, you have to look for a PIII MMC-2 version. Intel used to sell them with speeds up to 850Mhz. further details at their website processorfinder...

With regard to the processor, I bought it on Ebay, I believe there are still a few of them available for sale.

Upgrade succeeded. I damaged my 500 mhz processor, so this time I used an 850Mhz mmc2 CPU. The problem is that this processor looks quite different from the one showed by Sharedoc. Is it possible to perform the speedstep upgrade on it? After the clock generator mod I'm getting 700 Mhz @100 mhz fsb. ...

I realised that there is an inconsistency between what Sharedoc suggests for the TP 600E upgrade and the picture I’ve found in this thread. I wonder if I soldered the 2k2 resistor to the wrong end. In Sharedoc’s drawing it seems to be C13, but according to the picture (photo) I’ve found in the forum...
