changed cpu driver to intelppm.sys (renamed p3.sys to p3.sy), changed power scheme to "Always on", my p3 800 still running at 650 (with SS disable in bios, can't boot if set to auto), what's wrong?

so it seems 2 be that power supply is the cause, p3 need more power than celeron, no?

how can i reuse old bios?

still can't run cpu at max speed, mobile p3 800 only run at 650, what am i to do????????????????????????

but if speedstep is set to enable in bios, my system can't boot, so my mobo doesn't support speedstep?

i don't think the problem involved to cpu driver because if bios speedstep option is set to auto, i can't even boot to dos with AC plugged in (only bootable with battery), if set to disable, boot ok with either AC or battery!
