@cp: At the moment SiS's download section does not seem to be working correctly. I shall check the site later. I do not want to do any soldering or acquiring of a new EEPROM chip, as such would have a cost greater than the value of what is perceived to be the benefit of the card with new BIOS. A Win...

Thanks Denniss.

Finding an older graphics card a good price is now difficult. Shipping added cost would make the purchase undesirable.

For now, the SiS 6326 card may be good enough (although leaves much to be desired), if another card can be acquired cheaply, then it may be used.

Video BIOS may require update

I have found that some intel integrated graphics drivers do not install on a computer using an older version of the VideoBIOS for the integrated graphics chipset.

Try installing the drivers after a VideoBIOS update (if possible).

I have sucessfully flashed Foxconn 6100K8MA-RS BIOS on Foxconn C51GU01 using awdflash V8.60H (specifically "awdflash /py/sn/cc/cd/cp/Wb/QI"). /QI was necessary for the crossflash. Also, removing the CMOS battery seemed to be necessary to correctly clear the CMOS. Some issues that existed when using ...

PLCC Vendors - Where Find (USA)

Where may PLCC chips be acquired at a reasonable or cheaper than reasonsable price for the United States of America region?

Vendors such as BadFlash.Com and BIOSMAN seem to chare quite a high price (at least $25 USD) for programmable chips.

If cabling is not the problem and a defect does not exist, the problem may possibly be resolved by cleariring the CMOS (has worked for me on Intel brand boards before).
