sounds like its preset on power saving mode,either set powermangment to max performance ,desktop etc,and or you may have to add ibms power managment utility ontop of config managment to set cpu parameters.

never liked sony laptops,look pretty but over hyped,overpriced pieces of manufactures manipulation junk.drop em once and they wont work again.
