Anyone have Asus P2B 1014 beta 3 already patched?

I have an Asus P2B 1.10 board with a voltage controller that can go down to 1.3 volts. Sooo, just to give it the ability to support all it can, I want to patch that last beta BIOS with the Tulatin CPU support *and* for the largest hard drives it's possible for it to handle. BTW, I found that links t...

Can't get Athlon MP 1800+ working right on K7S5A.

On my PC-Chips 830LR, flashed with CheepoMan's modded final release of the ECS K7S5A (non-Pro) BIOS, it will not POST with the FSB/RAM set to 133/133 with an Athlon MP 1800+. An Athlon MP 1600+ works just fine at that setting, it doesn't POST if the FSB/RAM are *not* the same frequency. When I swapp...

Modding Dell Dimension B110 BIOS?

Dell has never released a BIOS update for the Dimension B110/1100. I'm hoping there's some hidden settings in the BIOS that can squeeze a bit more performance out of it. It doesn't matter what sort of optical drive is installed (the original DVD burner was VERY horrid) it's nearly impossible to do a...

Nooo, not with it on the board. But it makes a white LED bright enough to be too painful to look at directly. ;) I tried doing a BIOS recovery then a normal flash to see if that'd fix it. Nope! I also found out that nukes the serial number and machine ID! Thank you IBM *so much* for not making that ...

Flashed IBM NetVista 2292, now won't save CMOS settings.

I made certain I downloaded the correct BIOS for the motherboard's FRU number. FRU 49P 4384 The latest BIOS fixes a slew of bugs AND adds 148 bit LBA. No earlier version for this FRU# has 148 bit LBA, so going to a prior version isn't an option. The boot disk that's supposed to automatically update ...

Changing AMI logo and copyright on the left side of POST?

I have my ECS K7S5A (nee PC-Chips 830LM) fullscreen boot logo 'taken over' by Aperture Laboratories... [big AL logo] Press <tab> to hide evidence Press <del> to enter Enrichment Center Press <crtl> <alt> <shift> <F12> to detonate And I've changed the BIOS version line below the AMI logo and copyrigh...

Seen that, it's about changing the little OEM logo, Module 31. I found this http://k7jo.de/tools/ami/amibcp75103.zip and have extracted the fullscreen logo PCX file Module 33. (Perhaps CheepoMan used this tool?) Hopefully I can use that to change it. I'd hoped MMtool could do it but it can't open th...

Changing fullscreen AMI logo for ECS K7S5A?

I found the last BIOS "CheepoMan" did for the ECS K7S5A (flashed it to an old non-Pro PC-Chips M830LR, where it works fine). It has the nifty fullscreen logo but I want to make an Aperture Laboratories boot screen to replace that. ;) I have a fast CPU, fast SCSI hard drives, and a very nice videocar...

BIOS for nVidia 5x00 FX PCI series?

I have a generic (it's a name brand card but has the generic nVidia 4.34.20.87.00b BIOS) 256 meg PCI GeForce 5500 FX card. I'm wondering if there's a newer BIOS? I replaced a PNY 128 meg PCI GeForce 5200 FX that would not return the desktop to 1440x900 after quitting fullscreen games that use lower ...

You can download the manual here. http://www.bare-bone.com/download/ftp/bb-k7ta-266/k7ta10.pdf I assume all it needs is the Chinese charaters removed, then it'll display in Reader without having to download and install the multi-megabytes of Chinese fonts and Chinese language support. (Complete docu...

Force Intel BIOS onto Gateway D845EPI board?

I have a Gateway 310S H with the "Thrasher" motherboard. It's marked D845EPI/D845GVSR The AA number is AA C45431-104 Gateway part number is 4000856 It's one of the many slightly different boards marked E210882. I updated it to the latest BIOS from Gateway (P03, it had P02 out of the box), had to use...

I have a Cybernet Zero Footprint PC (ZPC) model Elite II. I'm looking for a power supply... so I can't tell the current BIOS version. It has a Phoenix sticker on the BIOS chip. Printed on the mainboard is CYB-SIS630S-2000 REV:A1.4 It's a nifty little box. Tucked under a keyboard is a 1Ghz 133Mhz bus...

The problem with the manual is most people outside China don't have Chinese fonts on their computers. When Adobe Reader doesn't find the Chinese font used in this manual, it displays NOTHING. Reader doesn't say anything like "This document uses Chinese fonts. Do you want to download them?". Acrobat ...

Shuttle is one of those annoying companies that removes all info from their site for discontinued products. While searching for the BIOS and manual for a Shuttle Spacewalker AI61V12A (the only Slot A board Shuttle ever made) I found the mother lode of files for the old boards here... http://www.file...
