For this old board series you need the Asus Flasher Aflash.

Please uninstall the SIS VGA drivers, reboot and reinstall them.
Please verify which version of the SIS VGA Bios is reported (small tool installed by the driver package).

M810 = SIS 730
M810D = SIS 740

Does the flash program report a successful Bios flash?
Did you try to uninstall the current drivers and to reinstall them after reboot?

Re: Widescreen Patch for SiS-651C

Is this your board, an ECS 651C-M?
http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Produc ... 24&LanID=0

It's not listed on our download page yet so it has to be patched with the new VGA ROM first.

This resolution is neither supported by Video Bios nor by the Windows driver. Blame SiS for this.

Re: How to flash or update bios for MCP61PM-HM motherboard

Do never ever try to upgrade a Bios on an instable system as a crash during flashing kills your Bios. Please try to identify the causes for instability - check cooling, voltages and use memtest to identify RAM issues.
Virus infections may also cause instabilities.

Re: BIOS Update for Scenic P300 (D1561)

The Rage 128 Pro is indeed an 1.5V card although not all models are AGP4x capable.
AFAIR the AGP slots is only specified to a power draw of below 50W and your card may exceed this. That's why many AGP cards had additional power connectors.

Re: BIOS Update for Scenic P300 (D1561)

You must have been lucky - a Rage Pro is typically a 3.3V AGP card that usually fries those AGP4x/8x Intel chipsets. I'd suggest there's some problem in the slot - either there some dirt hidden in the slot preventing the card from getting all their pins connected, the card is not deep enough in the ...

You may do this but only once. Your Notebook may/will be dead afterwards.
Is there any special reason for doing this ?

Re: Need patched BIOS for ASROCK K7S41GX

AFAIR there's no support for these resolutions in the SIS VGA Bios. Better get a cheap VGA card for your AGP slot and enjoy the high resolution with imoeived image quality and an increased system performance. -> ATI Radeon 9550/9600 should be very cheap at places like Ebay, just make sure they have ...
