The HP ZE5155 uses the BIOS file for the XE4400. If you attempt to update with the ZE5155 BIOS you'll end up with a dead laptop.

Lately it appears that the following compaq model also suffers from this BIOS flash failure.

NX9000 series (all models)

Avoid unnecessary BIOS updates with this NX 9000 series as well.

Your model more than likely is the same as the US version PCG-748. Unfortunately, Sony does not offer a BIOS update file on the Sony site.

Have you tried the Euro support site for Sony to see if they have a BIOS update available?

PhantomGirl, It all depends on the Memory controller chip that is built into the MMC2 CPU card for that model. I don't know which chip they used for that CPU speed range.
