you can tried it with Uniflash on another meanboard with the same voltage for the Award bioschip as you dead motherboard.
After the flashes ,turn the power off of you good meanbord and place the good bios back .

Yes your richt , but you say only a checksum error.
You must try hot flash with a same meanbord or you can try it with uniflash on another with awardbios on it.If you use awardflash it don't work , he read the chipset , and is it not the right chipset ,the program terminated .

clear cmos and , flash again and startup with the defaulst settings.

You can try if you start the pc with push the button F2 then F5 then F10
it load the defaults settings . If you can start the floppy then ,you can take the CD rom that's comes with your meanbaord with the original bios on it , try it again with this bios .

what does the meanboard if You take de HD away !

I tested the MSI 6340 (dead) bios rom with my new 6340 meanboard , and it works fine .
So the bios of my old board is good .
I guess there is something with the chipset , the voltages are ok , but I am not shure . I have no voltage diagram .
So I think it is one for the trash can.

I found no a nice program on the internet called Awardeditor.
Know I find a lot off information of my old bios romfile that I saved with the hotflash that I trie the do with 6533 and 6340 .
You can edit your own bios now .
