A Google search for the BIOS ID string turns up this link:
Plasma online - identify your Jamicon Mainboard which identifies your mobo as Kai Mei Corp (now Jamicon) KM-T5-T1 v1.31 and has some useful links.

Google is often a useful first step.

OK! I used CBROM 1.30 to extract and release all the loadable modules using /other 4100:0 for awardext.rom, cut everything up to 0x1B000, patched and compressed the original.tmp and then filled it out to 0x1AFFF with 0xFF. Joined the part1 and part 2 with copy /b, CBROM shows only one BIOS module. P...

Thanks, Rainbow. I'll try again using exclusively CBROM 1.32 instead of reloading the modules with CBROM 2.05 and see if that makes any difference.

Maybe you had the most up-to-date BIOS on the board already. In which case it's time to take a look at patching the BIOS to remove the 32Gb limit.... ask Rainbow nicely ?

I see why the query, as the download file contains 3 images. Looks as though you have ID'd the correct one, B1120IAG.BIN. Good luck!

Re: How can I identify my 'Clock Gen IC' ?

1. The files I downloaded only have the options ITE8671 and N.S., but apparently I have ITE867. which do I use? 2. How can I identify my clock gen ic?? I have no idea how to do that... Actually, don't worry about the clock gen as all the BX motherboards listed on the downloads page use the same one...

It's worth noting that ECS K7S5A users in April seemed to think that the latest BIOS was pretty buggy and recommended using one from Jan/February, IIRC. Check out the newsgroup - is it comp.periphs.mainboard.elite ? Shep will tell you pretty quickly. Sorry, I was watching it for a month and unsubscr...

I have checked out Rainbow's >32Gb fix for the Amptron9900/M577 BIOS and so far it works (no UDMA, ME safe mode), but I now have to get a utility to prevent my IBM hdd from saying it can do UDMA 100 as the BIOS tries to set this and the chipset doesn't.. (known problem). So far my attempt to patch t...

Well, I thought I did that, but maybe I'd better try again. BTW, AWDFLASH 7.8 is happy to flash any ROM in the M577 mobo and doesn't complain like 5.35 and 6.23. BTW, the 64Gb fix seems fine - now I need to stop the drive responding with UDMA 5... maybe the BIOS could be patched not to set UDMA 5? T...

Uniflash reports boot block problem with patched BIOS

Please can someone suggest what I have got wrong with the following BIOS patch process ? Jan Steunebrink's patched PC-Chips M577/Amptron PM9900 BIOS has the BIOS ID string modified to PM9900 instead of M577. Rainbow kindly provided a large disk version to test on my M577, but I wanted it to say "M57...

Uniflash saves the day - again ! AWDFLASH wouldn't allow it, but Uniflash allowed me to flash the old M577 BIOS on the VT586TX (hot swapping).
